The Night Before Christmas

T'was the night before Christmas
when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugarplums danced in their heads.

And Mamma in her kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the luster midday to objects below,
When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer,
With a little old driver so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled and shouted and called them by name:
"Now, Dasher! Now, Dancer! Now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! On Donder and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall!
Now, dash away, dash away, dash away all!

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
So up to the housetop the coursers they flew
With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas, too.

And then in a twinkling I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head and was turning around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished from ashes and soot.
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

His eyes, how they twinkled! His dimples, how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard on his chin was as white as the snow.

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly
That shook when he laughed like a bowl full of jelly.

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself.
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk,

And laying a finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose.

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

A Common Prayer: Known By All #1

Here is a prayer that lots of people know. It is commonly used in church and in house cleansings...

Our father who art in heaven
Hallow be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done
On Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us today our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us,
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
Amen.

iPhone Case Made Out of 3D Printer!

Have any of you heard of a 3D printer? I have because we are learning about them in Manufacturing. They sound really cool and you can make things out of them. If you have a 3D printer, you could be making iPhone cases like whoever made the one below and be selling them like hot-cakes.

Boots Essentials 'Lipsalve' Review

Boots Essentials Strawberry Flavored Lipsalve
This lisalve on the right is Boots Essentials Lipsalve. I have the original lipsalve, my cousin sent it to me from Oxford College in England. It is very nice, and doesn't irritate your lips. Like, if I have a cheap lipbalm/lipgloss, it'll make my lips red and chapped and definitely not pretty. This is very good and it makes your lips look and feel amazing. I'm not sure if you can get this in America, because so far I haven't seen it except for when my cousin mailed it to me. I also went to http://www.boots.com/ and I looked up 'lipsalve' in their american store, they didn't have it, so I looked in the U.K. store and they had it. But it looks really nice and they also have Boots Extracts, and they have things like lipBALM, body butter, scrubs, and all that jazz.

I Want an Instamatic!

Okay, so vintage is really in this year. Like, 80s, 90s, 50s, 60s, 70s, stuff like that. So...I found this really awesome pic of a Polaroid Instamatic camera. Check it out!
I also realized that this looks like the Instagram logo. Doesn't it? I think that's one of the reasons how Instagram got it's name.

9/11/01

12 years ago so many lives were lost.
2,993 to be exact.
2,993 people's families were devastated on this date. Well, it's good that some people survived.
American Airlines, Flight 11 plane first hit the North tower at 8:46:40 a.m. The North tower collapsed at 10:28 a.m.
United Airlines, Flight 175 hit the Southern tower at 9:03:11 a.m. The South tower collapsed at 9:59 a.m.
Planes also hit the Pentagon and another plane crashed in Shanksville.
All of the people who's lives were lost, bless your souls. And also to the family, of course.

The Vow: My New Favorite Movie

Tonight, I just saw the movie The Vow. It is the most amazing movie EVER and it is so amazing and if you haven't seen it yet, you HAVE to see it. Rachel McAdams and especially Channing Tatum are excellent in this lovey movie that is based on true events.
Summary: A girl (Rachel McAdams) and her husband (Channing Tatum) were in a car accident, the girl (her name in the movie is Paige) not wearing her seat-belt and smashing her head through the windshield of the car, having total loss of her memory except for a few moments in high school, and with her ex-boyfriend. Her husband (his name in the movie is Leo) is trying so hard to help her, and Paige is so lost mentally, and for a part of the movie physically. I'll leave it at that for now :) I don't want to spoil this amazing movie.

The Wet Brush Review

Have any of you had the knottiest hair when you got out of the shower and it takes forever to get the knots out? Try The Wet Brush. You can find them at hair salons, such as Hair Cuttery, and you can also find them at Ulta, or most beauty stores. I have a Wet Brush, and since my hair is really curly, it used to take a bunch of time to get my knots out. And the old brush would also pull on my hair and I'd be in pain. Well, The Wet Brush doesn't do that. It seems like the brush just melts all of your knots away. It's really neat. And you can get it in a little travel size, the regular size, and a round Wet Brush, for blow-drying hair. The Wet Brush also comes in a bunch of colors, like blue, purple, green, pink, black, yellow, red, silver, gold, metallic colors, and lots of other colors. Trust me, if you haven't gotten The Wet Brush, you need to.

My Homemade Lip Scrub

You will need...

  • A place to put your lip balm (Lip balm container. I got a few at Bed Bath and Beyond in the travel storage section.)
  • Brown sugar
  • Vaseline/Petroleum jelly
  • Vanilla Extract
  • A bowl
  • Something to stir with (I suggest a straw. That's what I used.)
How to make it
Place your bowl down on a counter. Put some vaseline/petroleum jelly in the bowl. You can put however much you want in depending on how much lip scrub you want. Sprinkle the brown sugar into the bowl. Pour a teeny tiny bit of vanilla extract into the bowl, too. (I made the mistake of pouring to much in the bowl and now my lip scrub has a to-strong vanilla scent.) Stir this with your straw until everything is mushed up. Then put it into a lip balm container, homemade or factory-made, and enjoy your soft, sweet smelling lips.

Note: I don't know what happens if you put it into the freezer. I guess it turns hard lip scrub instead of a liquidish one.

Secret Abandoned Train Stations

There are over 9 abandoned Subway Stations under New York City. For example, there is one under City Hall Park.  It opened in October 1904, and closed in December 1945.
There aren't abandoned stations just under NYC...they're some in New York State, too. And all over the world.

Buffalo City Terminal, Buffalo, N.Y.

Some of these train stations are haunted. The one above looks haunted to me.

The Secret to the Easy Way of Doing Your Chores

How to Lose a Tooth Fast (Or get a tooth more loose then it already was)

Okay, loosing a tooth can be very frustrating. If it's so wiggly but it won't come out, if all of your friends have lost all of their teeth except you, if you need braces and have a few teeth left to loose, etc etc. BUT ONLY DO THIS IF YOUR TEETH ARE ALREADY LOOSE. Okay, below are the steps to loosing a tooth.

  • Bag some ice. Or find this weird bad tasting medicine that the nurse gave me when my loose tooth hurt. Apply ice/weird medicine onto the tooth until it is numb.
  • Take a paper towel, tissue, napkin, or something and wiggle your tooth with that so your fingers don't hurt.
  • Press your tooth really hard one way and then push it hard the other way.
  • Twist your tooth and wiggle it with all your might.
  • Re-apply ice/medicine and bite into something hard.
This is the best that I could do. Sorry if it doesn't work, or if you have a little pain.
But trust me, it will get your tooth really loose.
If it starts bleeding when you wiggle your tooth, then it's going to come out soon. Also if you hear a clicking noise (I have no idea what that is but every time I was about to loose a tooth it made that noise).

Rain

I love how rain looks when half of the sky is dark and half of the sky is light and the rain clouds are slowly coming towards the sunny area in the sky. It looks so cool! Sort of like in this pic:
See how the background is dark but it's not raining yet? That's what I love.
Anyway, I just looked up cozy rain and found this pic and had to share it on here because I relate to this picture a lot.

My Favorite Song

Here is my favorite song called 'Blurred Lines' by Robin Thicke. As soon as I heard this song I became obsessed with it. I heard it right after school ended which was kind of depressing because I couldn't say to my friends "OH MY GOD I FREAKIN LOVE THIS SONG!!!" unless I called or texted them and every time I call or text them I forget.
But, here it is for you guys to enjoy to if you love this song as much as I do.

An Update Post

Hey guys, sorry for shutting down my old website, thekittenscaboodle.blogspot.com. It's just kind of hard to juggle 2 websites at one time. I sort of wanted to make this website that website, with a few changes and stuff, but that would be kind of hard to advertise, like, 'fashiontipsandadvicefromava was changed to thekittenscaboodle'. So I really have no idea what I'm going to do. I'll have to think about it.
I'm also stressed out because I got this new thing on my braces today that makes me talk really weirdly, and I need to start reading my book for school and getting supplies for school. Like, it's practically August for god's sake! I fell off of my bike the other day and got a really bad scrape on my knee. Also my cat threw up on my blanket so all I have is a sheet until my mom decides to wash my blanket because I don't want to go to sleep knowing that there's cat vomit germs on my blanket.
Oh! While I was typing this I got an idea!
Maybe I don't have to change the name of the website, I can just change the background and the header of the website explaining why it's called the everything blog and not just Fashion Tips And Advice. Check my website out later!

Is That Your Breath or Did You Just Fart

This is one of the most hilarious videos that I've ever seen.
I know that farting isn't really something that should be on a fashionable website, but I am just bored today.
Oh, and I forgot to say thank you soooo much to those 1,823 page-views that I have. 1,823 is a big number!
Anyway, here is one of the most funniest videos that you will see.
The lyrics are at the bottom of this video
You said 'How may I help you?'
And then  I smelled poo!
I looked all around me
I even checked my shoes!
The burning in my eyes
Then I realized
Is that your breath or did you just fart?
Is that your breath or did you just fart?
Is that your breath or did you just fart?
Is it, I want to know!
Ha, ha ha.
Is that your breath or did you just fart?
Is that your breath or did you just fart?
I smelled something foul
It must be your bowels
It's kind of demonic
You need a colonic
Is that your breath or did you just fart?
Is that your breath or did you just fart?
Break it down!
Is that your breath or did you just fart?
Is that your breath or did you just fart?
Is that your 'haa' or did you just 'pppt'?
Is that your 'haa' or did you just 'pppt'?
Is that your 'haa' or did you just 'pppt'?
I want to know!
I want to know!
Is that your breath or did you just fart?
Is that your breath or did you just-everyone!
Is that your breath or did you just fart?
How may I help you
Your breath smells like poo
I looked all around me
I even checked my shoes!
Is that your breath or did you just fart?
Is that your breath
Or did you just fart?

How to Stop A Runny Nose 2

Here is another way of how to get rid of a stuffy nose.
Just simply take a shower!
The shower cleans your nose out and gets rid of all of the snot. You may need to blow your nose in the shower with your hands, but just rinse your hands off in the shower. Is your nose stuffy? I don't think so! This at least works for me. If it doesn't work for you, then I don't know what to tell you. Just get allergy medicine.
I know this was a short post, but I'll keep you posted!

They Named the Royal Baby!

They named the royal baby!
His name is...
George Alexander Louise.
Not exactly what I was thinking of, but I like it!
It sounds like a very royal name. Like, Prince William sounds royal. Prince Harry sounds loyal. Prince Charles sounds royal. Queen Elizabeth sounds royal. So does Princess Diana, and Princess Kate. So his name will be Prince George Alexander Louise.
Oh my goodness! We have a new baby in the royal family!

Pic of the Royal Baby!

Isn't he just adorable? He's crying, though, because the people outside of St. Mary's Hospital were all "Woohoo!" and making lots of noise. But isn't he so cute! I can't wait to see his whole face!
http://www.cnn.com/2013/07/24/world/europe/uk-royal-baby/?hpt=hp_c2
Go to the link above. You can actually see most of his face in this photo album. Click on #9 and you can see his face when Prince William puts him in the car.

Pics of the Royal Baby!

The pics of the royal baby boy are finally here! Just visit this website to see them!
http://liveblog.abcnews.go.com/Event/Royal_Baby_Watch_Live_Updates
You can see his face in one of these pics. He is so adorable!!!!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!

Top 8 Baby Names for the New Royal Boy

Here are the top eight names that the royals have chosen for their baby boy...only 1 of them have been/will be chosen for the precious baby-

  • George
  • James
  • Edward
  • Charles
  • Harry
  • Francis
  • Philip
  • Michael
I really like James, Michael, and Philip. George seems like it's a name for a grown man. So does Edward. Francis is to formal for a royal baby. So I like the names James, Michael, and Philip. Also if Michael were to be his middle name and James his first or vise versa.
The name for this precious little boy awaits...

Kate Middleton had her baby!!!!!

Oh my goodness!
Kate Middleton had her baby!
The baby was born at 4:24 p.m. on Monday, July 22nd, 2013. He weighs 8 pounds and 6 ounces.
It is a boy, for all of those people that wished that it was a boy or wished that it was a girl, the royal baby is in fact a boy. I have no idea what his name is and it's bugging me because I really want to post it on here, for you guys to see. But I don't know what his name is, I checked a billion different websites and no satisfying results were found. I also don't know what this precious little boy looks like. We all will probably find out by watching the news tomorrow, check GMA or The Daily News or something like that to see what his name is and what he looks like...HOPEFULLY. It's likely though that his name and pics will be shown as the week goes on.
Prince William said that him and Catherine could not be happier about their baby boy.
I can't wait to see this precious little infant!
I'll keep you posted on his name and pics.

Rain

I love rain.
Some people, sadly, hate rain.
I find rain to be cozy, sleepy, and safe. Cozy because it's dark and the soothing color of white. Sleepy because cozy and dark mixed together IS sleepy. And safe because you're inside your safe house un-wet. Where I live it is raining almost every day of the week. Well, this week.
I also love the weather channel because I love the soothing music, and how hurricanes look like this big mass of rain that doesn't have any clear spots.
I remember when hurricane Irene swept up the coast. I remember seeing the very tip of it on the bottom of the weather forecast. My mother and I went to Dollar Tree for supplies like tea lights, and gallons of water which there were a few left of because some people were such worry-warts and got like, 5 gallons of water. We also went to Genuardi's for canned stuff like beans and chicken broth. I was scared to death that night of August somethingth of 2011. Our basement was flooding and my mother was thinking about driving all the way up to my aunt's house which was 3 hours away. Then she dropped her keys in this hole in the basement and had to fish her hand down there to get them back out again. We stayed up and watched channel 6 and the lady on the weather channel actually said that the weather was getting "worser". Like, seriously? Worser? That was the only good part out of the whole night. The tornado warning scared me to death because I hadn't barely ever seen it before except for the monthly practice thing that they do.
After hurricane Irene, the bottom of our street was flooded. This one tiny house had to get evacuated. It was a scary night, but we had survived.
Anyway, keep calm and love rain!

Shampooing and Conditioning FEET?

Okay, here is the story that made me post this article-
My feet were really dirty today from being outside in the over 90 degree weather, plus I had white flip-flops on. So I washed my feet. The idea came across my mind-what if we washed our feet like we wash our hair? I tried it. And guess what:
MY FEET ARE SMOOTH!
AND THEY AREN'T DIRTY!
Here is what I did:
  • Wet my feet in the bath tub.
  • I put shampoo on my right foot, moved it around between my toes, on top of my foot, my ankles, all over my foot. Then I washed it off.
  • I put conditioner on my right foot, moved it around between my toes, on top of my foot, my ankles, all over my foot. Then I washed it off with water.
  • I did the same thing to my left foot as I did with my right foot.
  • I dried my feet off, and they were smooth! And after 5+ hours they still are!
So, what do you think? I think that it worked. Of course my feet got dirty again, but so what? Actually, my feet are still smooth even after they got dirty again.

Who Remembers the early 2000s?

I grew up in the early 2000s. It makes me so happy thinking of my childhood, with my older brother that ate Warheads and watched South Park, and me that watched Noggin and Nickelodeon. Here are some shows that I remember watching:
  • Danny Phantom
  • Rug Rats
  • Cat Dog
  • My Life as a Teenage Robot
  • Jimmy Nuetron
  • Spongebob Squarepants
  • Courage the Cowardly Dog
  • The Backyardagans
  • Wonder Pets (I know. They're creepy.)
  • Drake and Josh
And so on and so forth.
There was another show but I forget what it's called.
I loved these shows! (Actually I still watch Spongebob, but it's not like I watch The Wonder Pets or anything.) It's kind of weird to know that the only show that still is producing new episodes is Spongebob. Also, here is a clip to anyone that remembers this song :)

How to Tie a Bandana

Here are some different ways to do your hair with a bandana/headscarf. Hope you like it!

HEADBAND
People usually do their hair in a headband style bandana. Just in case you didn't know how, here is how.
Step 1. Fold your bandana into a triangle. It doesn't matter if it's uneven, the next step will cover it.
Step 2. Roll your bandana until you have no more rolling left, that way it sort of looks like a long, skinny trapezoid.
Step 3. Put the bandana around your head and over your ears. Take the ends and tie them into a double knot.
Step 4. Tuck the extra ends from the knot under the bandana.
Your are finished your headband!

SCARF
This is the scarf style. It requires a cute-colored bandana, and a white t-shirt.
Step 1. Put on the white t-shirt.
Step 2. Imagine Channing Tatum in a white t-shirt :)
Step 3. Fold the bandana into a triangle.
Step 4. Roll your bandana until you have no more rolling left.
Step 5. Put the rolled bandana around your neck and tie it.
Step 6. Tie it into a double knot on the side that way it has the cute 1950s chick look.

Those were just 2 ways. Here is a video I found on YouTube about how to tie headscarves in a few vintage-y ways

How to Stop a Runny Nose

Does that allergy medicine not work? Are you sneezing so much you just can't even watch a movie? Are you sick of blowing your nose every 10 seconds? Well, here is a solution.
Take a tissue. Rip big pieces of and roll them up into tiny balls (that sounded wrong). Then stuff them up your nose (okay that really sounds wrong). Keep them in there for a while. Have you noticed that you aren't sneezing? Well, this at least works for me. But try it! No spending any money on allergy medicine! Just a tissue and your nose is all you need.. And by keep them in there for a while I mean keep them in there for about 3 hours. WARNING! Please do this at home. I bet you don't want people asking you why you have tissues up your nose. Your nose won't be stuffy anymore :)
Note: remember I said that this at least worked for me. If it doesn't work don't get frustrated.

SUMMER FASHIONS OF 2013

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't written on this blog in 2 MONTHS. Anyway, I'm here to write to you some summer fashions of 2013.
Ooo, one more thing. I will be updating this blog. It won't only be about fashion...it'll be about beauty products, the latest technology, random stuff, poems, crafts, etc, etc.

Have you noticed that shorts that are up to your belly button are in this year? They're very cute! I actually have a few pairs of these vintage-like shorts, because I like them a lot. Here are some good outfit combos:
1. Vintage shorts (belly button shorts) with a lace top, button down top, floral top, or top with no sleeves but not spaghetti straps. (A vintage top. Look it up.) Tuck the top into your shorts. Hair in messy bun or down.
2. Vintage dress with flats that match and hair in a chignon/low messy bun or in a ponytail with a bandanna.

bandana, hair, pinup
This is the bandanna style that I suggest you using
Image from http://favim.com/image/524338/
  3. Romper/jumper with high-tops or flats. Hair in messy bun or chignon. Do not use bandanna. Use a headband that is the color of either your flats or jumper.
4. Jean-shorts with a plaid button-down shirt. Shirt should be tucked into the jean shorts. (Denim jean-shorts preferably.) High-tops or sandals are the best shoes that go with this outfit. Hair in a bandanna tied like the woman's in the picture above. Also, bandanna must match one of the colors in your plaid shirt to look nice.

I hoped that you liked my suggestions of outfits. Be creative with your outfits! Find something that you think is a cute outfit, not what someone else thinks is a cute outfit. Enjoy!

I love Russia, I am actually 1/8 Russian myself, and I am learning the language. Of course America was the second most people that have looked at my website. Yay! This is going to be a happy day.

OVER 1,000 PAGEVIEWS!

I just went on today, on a SNOWY day in spring (its snowed today on the few days of spring more than it did in the winter!), to my website, and I looked at the pageviews.

I just wanted to thank you all very much!

Minecraft

OK, so I am really bored of writing on this blog about fashion, fashion, FASHION all the time, so I am going to write about something a little different on this post.
MINECRAFT.
I am literally obsessed with this game and I can't stop playing it. It is the most fun game that I have ever played and it's just such a fun activity to do on your iPod, Xbox, or computer (I have it on my computer and on my iPod) when you're really bored. On the iPod, it's $7, and on the computer it's $27 or you can get it for free. ( I got it for free but it started to crash my computer, so I suggest getting Minecraft for $27 to get it by a better maker or server or whatever you call it.)
I am addicted to this and almost all of my friends have it and I share my stuff that I built and they share their stuff that they built and it is SUCH AN AWESOME GAME.

Snow Haiku

Ok, so I got a comment on my blog to write a snow haiku! Here it is!

Let it snow, snow snow
Snow is fun, snow is happy
OMG it's snow!

That is my haiku! I hope that my pageviewers have enjoyed my haiku. I like snow a lot and I kind of feel bad for those people that live in California and in places that it doesn't snow. I live up north so I get snow every Winter but sadly because of the STUPID weather we keep on getting less and less every year :(. Well, we might as well enjoy the snow while it's there!

Random Post

OOOOKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.
I AMM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSOSOSO BORED.
I just wanted to write. I have no idea what else to write about right now. I can't write my book because I have to find a stupid 'product key' thing for my Microsoft word and I can't do the product key because I have NO IDEA WHAT A PRODUCT KEY IS. Like my mom always says..."I don't get this! Do you have to be smart to do this?" (Its a sarcasm. SARCASM RULES.) I got a new computer and there is microsoft word on it. I opened it and it said to enter a 25-character product key. Well, now I know what it is, but how are we supposed to know where the product key is????? Microsoft didn't come in a package!!!! We downloaded it!!!!!!!!!
Anyway..................I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo suuuuuupppppppeeeeerrrrrrr excited that it is SNOWING OUTSIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Snow like....rocks. So like, yeah. LOL I sound weird.
Here are all of the things that I like:
The color Pink
The color Turquoise
1972 Buick Convertibles
Chicken
Bath and Body Works
Horror Movies
Books
Comedy Movies
Reading
Writing
Multiplication

NO I DO NOT LIKE BACON

Why Is Straight Hair Considered More Attractive Than Curly Hair?

It really annoys me. Like, why do guys like girls that have straight hair??? Well, at least most guys. It isn't fair! It's not that I don't like straight hair, because I really do. But HOW does it make you more attractive? Does it make you look older? Does it show off your face a little more? I really don't know.
I think that boys would like curly hair, because it's so different and big and ringlitty and  all of that. These are some of the questions that I really need to ponder.
